While we look forward to the 2012 debut of the NY Knicks in a few weeks, for now, we’re enjoying the many college basketball fans who make their way to Tir na nog before games at The Garden.
Tomorrow night is another great doubleheader featuring Missouri vs. Villanova and Washington vs. Marquette in the 2011 Jimmy V Classic. We look forward to greeting fans from each of these fine programs.
We know it can be hard to choose which are the best bars near Madison Square Garden. We’ll use the words of our many adoring fans to help you make a choice:
CBS Local – “Tir Na Nog’s convenient location belies its status as awesome Irish pub…
New York Magazine - Tir na nog “transcends its ye oldetrappings to provide a casual, civil refuge. The 24 tap, single-malt, speed rack-equipped bar was once a church pipe organ; like everything else here, it has the faded luster of a sentimentally valued antique…. seafood with an imaginative touch unequaled in pub circles.”
From Yelp, “Bernie (the bartender) is a class guy and knows how to tend bar the proper way!” and “The food is really good. I don’t mean good for an Irish bar, I mean good period. The bread, the butter, the calamari, and the hamburger. And I didn’t go there hungry.”
From Trip Advisor: “…the food here is excellent, i was recommended to go here by a friend to try the steak, and i was not disappointed. the food is reasonably priced and the pints of Guinness are the best i have found in NYC….
No wonder so many agree that Tir na nog is one of the best restaurants near Madison Square Garden.
